This 5-in-1 reflector collapses to less than 15" and pops open to a 42". It has translucent fabric as well as metallic silver, gold, white and black surfaces for modifying light along with an 18% grey panel on its storage case to aid in exposure calculations.
Collapsible reflectors are incredibly versatile tools that belong in every photographer and videographer’s equipment repertoire. They fold down about 1/3 of their usable size, pop open in 1 second, and weigh just ounces. They work with sunlight or any ambient light, including LED, as well as flash and strobe; allowing you to direct and modify light where you want it, as you want it.
Reflectors are available in a variety of fabrics and surfaces. With them you can open shadows, soften light, create warm effects, and much more. Portraiture, macro work, and still life are just a few examples of subject types that can benefit. Due to their small size and light weight, collapsible reflectors are especially useful when carried outdoors and used for modifying sunlight or adding light on an overcast day.
This ProMaster 5 in 1 42” Collapsible Reflector stores at less than 15” but opens to a full 42” diameter. It includes a reversible 2-sided zip-on cover to achieve 5 types of fabrics in total. The translucent fabric softens harsh light and reduces contrast on your subject. The metallic silver side produces a bright, hard light with increased contrast and specular highlights. The gold produces a soft, warm light. The white surface produces a soft, neutral light. Finally, a black surface can be used to absorb light and reduce reflections as well as pull-down highlights.
A lightweight storage bag is included which has an 18% grey side to aid in exposure calculations. This is the “plus” feature unique to ProMaster 5 in 1+ and 7 in 1+ reflector kits!
